書体は、篆書(てんしょ)、隷書、楷書、行書、草書があります。一般的に使われるのは楷書と少しの行書
ワークショップや学習用では楷書の説明と練習となります。

篆書
波磔はなく、均整のとれた字が特徴的です、はらいが無いのでスピードは感じず、
少し丸みを帯びていてあたたかさがあります。
・縦長の字形、左右相称
・起筆で穂先を包み込むように書く…逆筆(ぎゃくひつ)、蔵鋒(ぞうほう)
・穂先は線の中心をとおる…中鋒(ちゅうほう)
・抑揚をつけずに、線の太さは一定、
・横画は水平、縦画は垂直

左右の払いが波立つ、波磔がある
転折は別画として書く
